Adam Martin Named CEO of Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Winchester

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Winchester (STRHS - Winchester) announced today that Adam Martin has been named its new chief executive officer (CEO), effective August 22. Martin will also oversee Southern Tennessee Regional Health System – Sewanee (STRHS – Sewanee). He joins STRHS – Winchester from its sister facility Southern Tennessee Regional Health System – Lawrenceburg (STRHS – Lawrenceburg), where he has served as CEO since 2019.
“We are pleased to share that Adam will be leading our STRHS – Winchester and STRHS – Sewanee teams,” said William Haugh, president of LifePoint Health’s Mountain Division, of which STRHS – Winchester and STRHS - Sewanee are a part. “Adam is a proven leader whose strategic thinking, team building and commitment to quality and patient safety will continue to serve our teams well.”
Prior to serving as CEO at STRHS – Lawrenceburg, Martin served as chief operating officer (COO) at Wythe County Community Hospital (WCCH), another LifePoint Health facility in Wytheville, Virginia. A seasoned healthcare administrator with significant operational experience, Martin has served in diverse leadership roles, including as chief financial officer (CFO) and chief staffing officer (CSO) at Terre Haute Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana, and assistant controller at University Medical Center in Lebanon, Tennessee.
“Adam is a proven leader, as evidenced by his years in executive leadership roles both at our sister facility in Lawrenceburg and in previous hospitals,” said Dave VanBuskirk, chair of the board of trustees for STRHS – Winchester and STRHS – Sewanee. “His relentless focus on community engagement, physician recruitment and leadership development for his team members help him build dynamic interdisciplinary teams who are equipped to achieve patient safety and quality care objectives. We are excited to welcome him to the Winchester and Sewanee communities and look forward to working with him to continue to drive the positive momentum we have seen at STRHS – Winchester and STRHS – Sewanee as we expand the ways we serve our region.”

Martin holds a Master of Business Administration degree, with a Healthcare Administration emphasis, from Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee, and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri.
